Color yourself happy!
You know you want a Big Shot

You know you want these markers!

Hello my friends - let's talk color!

A few months ago, we were introduced to an amazing new product called Blends.  These are alcohol base markers and let me tell you, these will change the way you color!

Blends

If you were around a couple of years ago, you will remember we had markers like these before, but I am here to say, SU listened and improved the quality beyond my expectations!  I find that I can't put them down, when I start playing!  Here are some projects I have created with them:

They are so easy to use and so easy to "blend".  (clever name right?!?!)  What I love most is how you can create such texture to your coloring with little effort.  I would recommend purchasing them in a color set. (you will receive a dark and a light shade, in the color of your choice)  Here is a link to the catalog with all the information you need to get going with our new Blends.  I would recommend using our beautiful Memento Ink pad in Tuxedo Black to stamp your image, then you can start to color any way you like.  I like to start with the darker color first, then I blend the lighter color right over the top to be sure to even out any harsh lines in my coloring.  My preferred cardstock is the Shimmery White so I get a little added sparkle for good measure.

Stampin Up has created some great how to videos to get us going in the right direction.  Here are those links:

I cannot say enough about these markers!  If you have any questions, or would like to give them a try, ask me today!  We have been using these in my monthly card class and have so much fun!  And I have to ask, who doesn't want to feel like a true artist?  :)  Until next time!
