Oh how I love pretty paper!

Hello my stampin friends!  I have been busy creating in my room and I have a treat for you!  Do you ever have those friends or family members that are extremely hard to buy gifts for?  Well I do and this year, I have been thinking of how to get around that feeling!  I was playing with the paper pockets I had shown you about a month ago and thought, let's start with a 12 in x 12 in piece of paper.  Check.  Now I had this pocket, what can I put in it?  I came up with a care package of greeting cards!

Blue pocket

Would you like to see the cards?  Here they are:

Inside blue pocket

The top project, to the left, is a cute gift card holder and then 3 every day cards.  (A Birthday, Thank You and Thinking of you card)  How cute is that?  I also love how custom you can make these and who wouldn't love a little gift like this?  I can see giving this to cheer up a neighbor, thank a co-worker or maybe to a friend that you just want to treat!  How about a Christmas gift?  Take a look at this:

Green envy

This one is my favorite!  Would you like to see what is inside?  Let's take a look:

All trees

I have fallen in love with this technique!  Simple masking with daubers and ink and of course, Sheltering Tree.  This card layout can be used for some many occasions by just changing the colors!  What do you think?  Sounds like fun right?

I will be hosting a class to make your own gifts just like above.  This will be a limited seating engagement where you will be able to make 2 pockets and 6 cards to fill them with.  There are a few ways you can get a seat:

Option 1 - Purchase your favorite 3 packages of the Designer Series Paper that is currently on sale and bonus...you get to pick one FREE! (you will need to purchase these by October 31 to get your FREE package of paper - see my website for detailed info on this special)

Option 2 - Pay a flat fee of $20.

Option 3 - Join my team of merry Krumm Cakes and your class is FREE!

I will be hosting this event on the following dates:

Saturday, November 26th (thanksgiving weekend)

Saturday, December 10th

This will be limited to 8 stampers per event so please RSVP ASAP to get your seat!  Sound like fun?  Let me know if you would like to attend!

Happy stampin!!

OH BOY!!! The new Holiday catty is FINALLY available!!

So have you seen it?!?! Oh my is this catty trouble!  LOL  I think at this point in the game, it would be easier to tell you what I "haven't" purchased from it yet.  We still have plenty of time folks!

So starting the month of September, I have a special deal for you all.  Each month, I am going to feature a special bundle of products that I think are MUST HAVES. When you purchase the products in the bundle, you will get three FREE project ideas, sent right to your home utilizing the projects in the bundle!  These may be cards or gift items but these products will not be at any of my classes so if you like EXCLUSIVE, this is definitely for you!  So let me tell you about the September product bundle:

So this month, my special bundle is the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and one of the coordinating stamp sets. (AREN'T THEY CUTE?!?!) I have been playing with both stamp sets, face it, it will be impossible to pick just one so why not get both?  Here is my first creation:

Halloween
Isn't he cute?!?!  This is also using one of the new thinlits called Home Sweet Home and the woodgrain background that we all love. I am not largely into Halloween but for some reason this year....I don't think this will be the last Halloween idea you see from me. What do you think?  How about we see some Christmas fun?
Holiday16_p06b-50
All this cuteness, it's hard to pick a favorite!  What I love about both sets together...you have some many holidays at your fingertips.  I will always be the one to look at a stamp set and think, how many ideas/seasons/holidays will I be able to get from this one set?  Stampin Up! listened and gave use multiple stamp sets that work with some of our new punches and thinlits which is awesome!!  I have one more idea to show you...this one is my favorite!
Shrinky dinks
They are minis!!!  LOL  Do you remember Shrinky Dinks?  Quite laughing....you know you do.  This is paper/plastic you can stamp on, then color and put it in the oven for just a few minutes and what happens is so adorable!  Here is a close up:
Close up shrinky
Your eyes are not playing tricks on you - they are smaller than a quarter!  I am working on adding them to some cute and easy cards but just had to share this with you.  If you still are not sure what Shrinky Dinks are, here is a link to the paper on Amazon but I was able to get mine at Michael's with my 50% off coupon:

It's time to reflect...

So I have seen these types of cards for years and always wonder..."how did they do that?".  Well I finally found a great video demonstrating the "Reflection Technique" to get started, but learned some helpful hints along the way so here is what I made:

Lovely trees

This was so easy and love that I can use my favorite stamp set, Lovely as a Tree!  This look can be easily attained with your favorite stamp set, a window sheet, a little bit of ink and a sponge or two.  Would you like to know how?  Here we go!

What do you think?  Easy? I had so much fun learning this technique that I had a meeting with my team the Krumm Cakes, and look how they did with this technique:

20160730_203241255_iOS

I was so proud of the work they did, can you tell that one of the cards above was one of my team members FIRST CARD FROM START TO FINISH all by herself?!?!?  Yes - no lie and so beautiful!  (Can you tell I am very proud of my team?!?!?)  Here is another view of some samples I created because I just had to try a Fall version:

Trees with fall

I hope you love the video and samples - I had fun making them!  If you sit down and take a chance on this fun technique, please send me what you came up with - I love seeing people creating!  If you have any questions along the way, please ask, I love to help!

Until next time - have fun stampin!!

Festive indeed - a treat for me!

Do you ever have one of those days where you think, "Ya, I am worth it and I want something for me!". If you ask my husband, he would probably say that is an every day occurrence with me.  LOL  Well last week, when SU released the weekly deals, one item caught my eye and at the discounted price, well I needed it so I treated myself.  The Festive Flower Builder Punch at first glance may look intimidating but oh so gorgeous!  Look at what you can do with this punch!

Festive flower su

This punch is so much more than Christmas and I fully intend on using this down the road for a spring time version of my own.  But, this is the Christmas season and we really should give it justice.  This punch does come in a special bunch for your holiday card making needs which is featured below:

Festive-Flower-Builder-Punch-Reason-for-the-Season

How easy is that?  I will give you till Wednesday before Turkey Day to tell me what your treat is, no matter the cost, big or small, can't wait to hear from you!

Yes, Christmas is right around the corner!!

Ok, this post may be Christmas on steroids but I could not help myself!  I am working on class cards and thought I would share some of them with you:

20151111_013623180_iOS

Isn't this adorable?  :) I do love cats but what I love most about this card is the feeling of warmth you get by peeking outside to the cold snow.  Stay tuned and I will break this card down so you can see how easy it does go together. (God bless the invention of Framelits!!!)

20151111_013849920_iOS

Now are you really surprised to see trees from me?!? LOL  LOVE the simplicity on this one and of course the color "Krumm Cake" is quite smashing too!

WP_20151021_022

So it is hard to see in the photo but the snow makes this one elegant all by itself!  And check out the inside below....no paper wasting here!  Next week I will break this card down as these Edgelits are not just for Christmas!

WP_20151021_024

I have a few more but what fun would it be to share them all...you will have to come and see what else I am up to at class this weekend!  If you are not registered, you still have time!  Thanks for stopping by!!

A hunter....I am not but an animal lover indeed!

Happy Sunday friends!  I was gone to a retreat this weekend where there is no phone service and internet is not reliable so we were busy crafting, talking and a little bit of laughing too.  :)

I have never been a hunter but one of my good friends Susie Martin showed me some cute birthday invites for her youngest son's birthday.

Myles birthday invite

ISN'T this adorable?!??  First, I love her color choices and it is hard to tell by the photo but that is velum paper with antlers printed on them!  I asked how she came up with the camo which she explained how to do, so I took to my room and here is what I came up with:

WP_20151021_011

This was created with two stamp sets.  The background was created with  Gorgeous Grunge and the goose and greeting came from the set Wetlands.  The technique is so easy and allows you to create any camo background you would like!  I simply used the large splatted dots stamp with Basic Gray and Smoky Slate and then use a piece of sponge and smudged on some Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow till I thought it looked good.  I know Gorgeous Grunge was not my favorite when it first came out and now.....well, I don't think I could live without it.  What do you think?

Thank you so much to Susie for such a great idea and can't wait for all of you to come up with new twists on this great technique.  Happy stampin!!
