My Paper Pumpkin

And don't forget the Mailperson, UPS Delivery and your Server.....

Hello stampin friends...are you ready for another project?  Yes, me too!  :)  So this one is so easy and who does not love hot cocoa?!?!?  Let's start with the finished product:

Finished cocoa

Aren't these too cute?!?!  So the magic happens when you pull up with the ribbon on top, to revile a package of hot cocoa!  Let me show you how to construct this pocket of goodness.

Step 1

This example is using one of my favorite Thinlits, Mini Treat Bag 137547.  What I love most about this thinlit is all the pieces that comes with it!  Let me show you:

Mini treat bag

You have every holiday and occasion you will ever need to give a treat for!  Here is what it looks like when I cut out the bag itself:

Step 2

Assemble the bag.  This is pretty easy to do but you have to love when Stampin Up! creates a short video to show us how.  :)  If you want to take a peek, here it is:

Step 3

Now you will punch a hole thru the entire bag, as large as needed for your ribbon of choice.  As you see below, I keep my ribbon on the spool as to use the ribbon efficiently since we don't want to waste it.  :) You will thread the ribbon thru the entire bag like so:

Step 4

Next you will add the cocoa pack.  The cocoa will go between the two layers of ribbon, and then in the pocket as shown below:

You will keep pushing the cocoa down in the pocket, with the ribbon cradling the cocoa.  This is what it looks like when its just about completely in the pocket:

Step 5

Cut the ribbon to desired length.  You will need enough to tied a knot directly above the cocoa as seen below:

I know the first time I saw this, I was hooked!  You don't have a Big Shot or the Treat Bag Thinlits?  No worries...look what you can do with pretty paper and a strategically placed staple:

Yes, that is a full size chocolate bar made by my good friend Brenda Boeve.  Isn't it cute and just the right treat when you want to let someone know you are thinking about them.  I made some cocoa pockets and candy tubes to hand out to waiters/waitresses/clerks that I encounter over the next few weeks to spread a little joy when least expected.  These are small enough that I can fit them in my purse to give on such occasions.  Here is a view of both projects:

Are you a Paper Pumpkin subscribers?  If so, those tubes should look familiar right?  Such a perfect way to say Thank you!

I hope you make some goodies of your own and stay tuned....more projects are in the works.  Have a wonderful rest of your day my friends!

My room is almost clean so it's time to play!

Well the Lord must have known I needed to be indoors today but very thankful for the rain we are getting in Minnesota!  The grass is a beautiful shade of green already and trees are coming back to life!

Today I want to share the Paper Pumpkin kit for April.  Now I will be honest...when I saw this I was skeptical but after I got it all together, I was pleasantly surprise!  Take a look!

Final wreath

What do you think?  I was very happy when I finished and was shocked with how much extras we got with this kit.  What to do, what to do.....I know, make a card!  Here is what I came up with:

Wreath alternate

I think it turned out pretty cute and hope you agree!  Now for the fun part, how about your very own Paper Pumpkin kit?!?!  I would love to make that reality come true for you and have one small question to complete this challenge.  What color(s) do you think about when it rains?  Do you think of rainbows or only see grey?  I would love to hear it!  Those that respond to me in any way, shape or form by April 29th, will be entered to win their very own Paper Pumpkin kit featured below:

Can't wait to hear from you and now back to creating!  Thanks for stopping by!

So what would you do with this kit?

As I mentioned in my previous post, I love Fall!!  When I got to preview this month's Paper Pumpkin at Convention in July....well I just could not wait for this kit!

>

I have plans to assemble these goodies for my extra special trick or treaters this year and hope they love them!  Here is a close up of the stamp set which I know will be a favorite!

So, here is my challenge - if this kit was yours, what would you do with it?  Do you love it as is or do you see an altered project?  Everyone who comments here on my blog or thru my Facebook page or even a quick email will be entered to win there very own kit - yes that means you!!  :)  I will give everyone the opportunity to respond by October 2nd so start thinking...how would you use it!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
