So what is the team called the Krumm Cakes about?

Hello my friends! I hope you are having a great day wherever you are - I think Spring might actually make it to Minnesota after all!

I can't believe we are in the final month of Saleabration 2019!  This time of year is my favorite because of a few things:

  1. I get to write FREE on a lot of your orders..I love it you guys!!  For every $50 spent, you get to pick a free item from the Saleabration items which you can see here.  There is no limit so that means a lot of you capitalize on this which is great, who doesn't love FREE?!?!
  2. My hostesses are EXTREMELY happy because orders and parties over $250 will yield you an extra $25 in hostess credits!  For example, if you collect $250 in orders, that will give you a $50 shopping spree from anything you want from the current product offering!  Pretty great for getting products you LOVE!
  3.  Those that join my team - and let me tell you, it is a pretty amazing team of stampers!  You will be paying $99 for $175 worth of product, anything your heart desires!  If you have a wish list that just keeps growing, this is your way to knock it out!  We also have a new offering this year where you can choose to get an exclusive SU tote for just an extra $30!  Look at this beauty: Bag for free

Our team has a private Facebook page where we share, chat and learn from eachother 24/7.  We have regular team                   meetings where you can come to my house and stamp or join online from the comfort of your home.  We also have                   some honorary members we have picked up along the way, so our group is truly amazing to learn from!  Because                     Stampin Up was so kind in naming a color so close to my name, well, we just had to call ourselves the Krumm Cakes               since that color is also one of my favorites!  Getting to be part of a team, having access to a great discount on your                       favorite crafting supplies and seeing new product before anyone else, are just a few benefits of joining the SU family.                 There is absolutely no commitment to stay after you receive your starter kit, but just know you are going to love it and             want to stay. I have never looked back at my decission to join SU over 13 years ago.

So as we approach the end of a wonderful time of year for crafters, know that I truly appreciate each and everyone of my customers and team members.  Because of you, I can share what I love each and every day of the year!

Have a great day my friends!

It's been awhile but Saleabration is happening now!

Hello my stampin friends!  I hope you have found me on Facebook to keep current but I am going to try my best to keep things current here too, so you are well informed.

We are in the final month of Saleabration 2019 and boy has it been popular!!  We have already had a few things completely out of stock, but there is still more to be had!  One of my personal favorites is the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  (Say that two times really fast!!)  This folder is so beautiful and easy to use.  Below are some projects I created during my Facebook Live that I would like show you:

Colorful flowers

All 4 cards were using this folder in different ways! The first two were simply running the cardstock thru the Big Shot with the folder, then using a sponge dauber to apply color lightly to the raised portion of the paper.  (I used Fresh Fig ink and cardstock for both)

The first of the second photo was using the same technique, just switching up the colors. Where are all my Gray Granite fans?!?!?  This one is so striking in person and great for any occasion.  The last in this series was using Whisper White cardstock with the folder, then coloring some of the images with and aqua painter, and the other images using our Blends markers.  This one was not my favorite to being with, but when it was done and paired with Pineapple Punch for the base, it grew on me!

As you can see, embossing folders can give you so much to work with, they are a must for your crafting adventures.  Keep in mind, Dynamics folders are going to give you more depth because they are thicker, but our standard folders get the job done too.

If you would like to see me create the card step by step, you can do so here.

Thanks for stopping by today and let me know if you have any  questions.

Have a wonderful day!!

It only took 14 years to get him to try....

Hello my friends!  Can you believe it is Labor Day weekend 2018?!?  This summer really flew by and can already feel the temperatures changing just a bit, in the arrival of Fall.  Last weekend we got some much needed rain, which meant it was the perfect day to play in my craft room.

When the new annual catalog came out, there was a new package of paper that caught my eye, but honestly, it sat on my table for quite some time, till last weekend.  This paper is printed vellum.  Vellum is a great way to add some subtleness to a project, without going overboard.  Well Stampin Up! outdid themselves and them printing on it, allowed us to bring out our missing 'inner child'.  :)  You can color on this with either Stampin Blends, or our tried and true markers!  Here are some images of this 6 x 6 paper:

Vellum

What you can do is color on the side where you don't see the glossy black outline.  When you do, you see something magical!

Remember, I am not a photographer but this paper is beyond gorgeous!!  The top was done with regular markers, the bottome was done with Stampin Blends.  I prefer using the Blends because it dries really fast.  If you use markers, you need patience.

So now back to last weekend.  While it rained, I colored - it was so fun!  I just cut out smaller images from the 6 x 6 paper and let the colors talk.  In comes my handsome husband Michael, wanting to know why it was so quiet in my room.  I explained what I was doing, and asked if he colored as a kid. He replied, "well of course I did, didn't everyone?"  Well said husband.  :)  So I asked if he wanted to give it a try.  I put out all the Blends and said it was his paper and he could do what he liked:

To my surprise, he didn't grab Husker Red aka Real Red, but did get straight to coloring.  (he did find the Red later)  LOL  As you color, you can hold it up to the light to check your work as you go.  Think of this as stain glass on paper!  Well I made him finish it all the way to the end because it was perfect!

And here are those final projects!

When we finished - I was smitten with this paper!!  This card was extremely easy to put together because it needed just a simple white background.  What do you think?  When was the last time you stopped, and brought out that inner child who just wants color???  :)

Until next time!
