A little candle fun!
Fall is the best season ever!!!

A hunter....I am not but an animal lover indeed!

Happy Sunday friends!  I was gone to a retreat this weekend where there is no phone service and internet is not reliable so we were busy crafting, talking and a little bit of laughing too.  :)

I have never been a hunter but one of my good friends Susie Martin showed me some cute birthday invites for her youngest son's birthday.

Myles birthday invite

ISN'T this adorable?!??  First, I love her color choices and it is hard to tell by the photo but that is velum paper with antlers printed on them!  I asked how she came up with the camo which she explained how to do, so I took to my room and here is what I came up with:

WP_20151021_011

This was created with two stamp sets.  The background was created with  Gorgeous Grunge and the goose and greeting came from the set Wetlands.  The technique is so easy and allows you to create any camo background you would like!  I simply used the large splatted dots stamp with Basic Gray and Smoky Slate and then use a piece of sponge and smudged on some Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow till I thought it looked good.  I know Gorgeous Grunge was not my favorite when it first came out and now.....well, I don't think I could live without it.  What do you think?

Thank you so much to Susie for such a great idea and can't wait for all of you to come up with new twists on this great technique.  Happy stampin!!
