May 2016

It's almost class time again!

I am so excited to be showing some new ideas at class this weekend!  It feels like it has been awhile and can you believe we are to the end of another great Stampin Up! catty?  It's always bitter sweet to say good bye to favorites but HELLO to some amazing new stamps and even better stampin goodies!  I thought you should get a sneak peek at a couple of projects that will be featured at class this weekend so here goes!

Wedding dress

We are coming up on wedding season so how about a great shower/bridal card?  My good friend Georgia G came up with this card design that I could not pass up.  I have fallen in love with these flat bows!  What do you think?  The picture does not do it justice but this bow is flat and easy to mail!  (YAY!!!)  The dress is our popular white doilies and I could also see color added for a beautiful birthday card for a special lady!

6 sided

Did you know the Six Sided Sampler is saying goodbye this year?  I love this set and the matching punch because it reminds me of my crazy quilt loving Mom!  I am also sad to say goodbye to Lost Lagoon too!  This card is so easy to put together and LOVE the Color Combo I accidentally came up with.  (Lost Lagoon and Cherry Cobbler)  Oh and please do not forget that ever purposeful flower from Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack!  That flower has saved too many cards to count because it covers mistakes BEAUTIFULLY!!!

So out of the retiring items, what was your most beloved item we are saying goodbye to?  Stamps?  Punches?  In Colors?  I want to hear them!

Hope to see you at class this weekend and keep stampin!

No one likes free stuff....said no one EVER.

It's Friday and the sun is shining!!  (hopefully for you too...wherever you are!) I have a question...what do you think about this card?

And what do you think about the ENTIRE kit?

Kit

Very rarely do we get to see what is coming in our super fun Paper Pumpkin kit but this month - we can!  If you sign up for this great program, this kit will be coming straight to you around the 20th of May!  I know get excited to see my little Pumpkin box show up each month and now you can too!  I had the pleasure of making two of the cards featured in the May kit when I was at our On Stage event for Stampin Up! in April and was amazed how cute and HOW EASY it was to put together!  What do you think?  Do I have your attention?  Smile

For those who are subscribing for the first time BEFORE  MAY 10TH (because you know you want to!), I will put your name into a drawing for 1 month free of Paper Pumpkin PLUS a free stamp set and ink spot!!  How cool is that?!?!?  If you are new to Paper Pumpkin, here are the details:

Poof! And then it was May!

Wow Spring time is in full swing and we even mowed the lawn in April instead of shoveling snow!  (That is pretty exciting in good 'ol Minnesota.)

So have you checked out the Retiring List  yet?  I thought I would take this time to show you a few ideas from some of my favorite retiring stamp sets.  Ready?  Let's take a look:

First up - Swallowtail.  Oh Swallowtail how beautiful you are!  We had fun with the butterfly stamping on coasters not too long ago!

Or how about Blended Bloom - This flower was so much fun coloring and so versatile!  I have used this flower for birthdays, sympathy or just because!

Or how about a great word set when you just need the right phrase?  How about one of my favorites... Feel Goods!  I found this card on Pinterest by a talented lady named Tamra Davis.  Isn't it gorgeous yet oh so simple?  What do you thing?

Do you recognize the trees on this one?  If you do and share, you may just get a treat from me!  (And would love to know if you are just as excited that this set is in the new Catty?!?)  :)

And last but certainly not least, Perfect Pennants.  My favorite inspiration is utilizing Pinterest by entering a stamp set in the search option I would like to use and.... Viola!....You have hundreds, sometimes thousands of ideas right at your finger tips!  This was another Pinterest find by Mary Bush:

This layout is so easy to replicate with minimal supplies.  Change the color and you have another way to use this too!  What do you think?  Any of these sets catch your eye that did not before?  I hope so because I know it inspires me to go make some cards!  Well technically there is some kind of special holiday this weekend so I have a reason too!   Would love to see what you are coming up with celebrating those ladies we call our Mothers!

Last but not least, a congrats to Heidi F for winning the Paper Pumpkin challenge from last week!  You won a bonus Wreath kit!

Until next time - happy stampin!!!
