And don't forget the Mailperson, UPS Delivery and your Server.....

Hello stampin friends...are you ready for another project?  Yes, me too!  :)  So this one is so easy and who does not love hot cocoa?!?!?  Let's start with the finished product:

Finished cocoa

Aren't these too cute?!?!  So the magic happens when you pull up with the ribbon on top, to revile a package of hot cocoa!  Let me show you how to construct this pocket of goodness.

Step 1

This example is using one of my favorite Thinlits, Mini Treat Bag 137547.  What I love most about this thinlit is all the pieces that comes with it!  Let me show you:

Mini treat bag

You have every holiday and occasion you will ever need to give a treat for!  Here is what it looks like when I cut out the bag itself:

Step 2

Assemble the bag.  This is pretty easy to do but you have to love when Stampin Up! creates a short video to show us how.  :)  If you want to take a peek, here it is:

Step 3

Now you will punch a hole thru the entire bag, as large as needed for your ribbon of choice.  As you see below, I keep my ribbon on the spool as to use the ribbon efficiently since we don't want to waste it.  :) You will thread the ribbon thru the entire bag like so:

Step 4

Next you will add the cocoa pack.  The cocoa will go between the two layers of ribbon, and then in the pocket as shown below:

20161209_042245333_iOS

You will keep pushing the cocoa down in the pocket, with the ribbon cradling the cocoa.  This is what it looks like when its just about completely in the pocket:

Step 5

Cut the ribbon to desired length.  You will need enough to tied a knot directly above the cocoa as seen below:

I know the first time I saw this, I was hooked!  You don't have a Big Shot or the Treat Bag Thinlits?  No worries...look what you can do with pretty paper and a strategically placed staple:

Yes, that is a full size chocolate bar made by my good friend Brenda Boeve.  Isn't it cute and just the right treat when you want to let someone know you are thinking about them.  I made some cocoa pockets and candy tubes to hand out to waiters/waitresses/clerks that I encounter over the next few weeks to spread a little joy when least expected.  These are small enough that I can fit them in my purse to give on such occasions.  Here is a view of both projects:

Are you a Paper Pumpkin subscribers?  If so, those tubes should look familiar right?  Such a perfect way to say Thank you!

I hope you make some goodies of your own and stay tuned....more projects are in the works.  Have a wonderful rest of your day my friends!

Packaging makes all the difference!

Hello my stampin friends!  As promised, I have more to share with you!!  Have you ever received a gift that made you smile before you even knew what was inside?  I LOVE packaging - paper, ribbon embellishments - LOVE IT ALL!!!!  :) I have been busy creating in my room and thought you would like to see what I have been up to.

Have you seen the envelope punch board?  No?  Let me show you:

Punch board

What I love about this board...you can make 66 different sized envelopes out of a piece of paper!  Yes, sixty-six!!  I needed some clever packaging to give a set of framelits.  Now a bag is great but the framelits themselves are so flat, it just seemed odd to just put them in a bag so I grabbed my envelope board and went to work.  The board itself has easy measurements to follow.  The first action is to determine how big of an envelope you need.  I needed a 6 x 7 envelope so the board is telling me, I need to start with a 10 1/4" x  10 1/4" sheet of cardstock or paper.  Here is a close up of the board measurements:

The directions are right on the board so no worries about losing them and this board will give you an envelope in minutes!  Here is what mine looks like before assembling:

For this project, I wanted to create a pocket so I cut off one side of the envelope which you can see I did to the left.  Next, I bring the sides together, then bring up the bottom.  Here is what that looks like when assembled:

Now the pattern for this one is a little wild and I wanted to decorate a bit on the front, so I added a piece of coordinating card stock to give me a surface to work with:

Now that is something we can work with right?  So the next part is the best part.....decorating!!  Let's take a look at what I came up with:

Envelope pocket

So one I put thru the Big Shot to add some texture , and the other was unaltered cardstock in Real Red.  I love adding a tag or a cute piece of punch art...SO EASY!!!!!  I also think this would make a great addition to your favorite stampers stash of tools.  :)  Stay tuned this week to see a cute cocoa package and a gift bag of multiple sizes too!  I can't wait to show you!!  Thanks for stopping by!

The easiest little box you can make!

Hello my friends!  So are you ready for the holidays?  I don't think I am so you may be getting some ideas from me in the next coming weeks while I prepare so let's get to it shall we?

First off, I promised a link to these awesome little kiss trees.  Here is what those look like:

20161112_023403762_iOS

These are surprisingly easy to make and recommend watching this video.  Brenda Quintana did such a great job teaching us this technique!

Cute right?  I was shocked how easy this was to put together and have you seen all the different prints there are on Hershey Kisses?!?  The skies the limit on this project!

So next, we need to look at the box that is so easy to make!

  20161112_013435977_iOS (2)

What I love about this box is the size and the very minimal supplies needed to construct.

Supplies

  • 5 1/4” x 6” piece of cardstock
  • Paper cutter with scoring blade- I love using my SU cutter for this!
  • Scissors- Paper Snips are my favorite.
  • Tear & Tape Adhesive
  • 3 Hershey’s® Nuggets® chocolate bars
  • 3  1” x 3 ¼” pieces of cardstock or DSP
  • Embellishments

20161206_022455898_iOS

Step One

You will start with your 5  1/4" x 6″ piece of cardstock. Score across the longer side (Landscape mode) at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 4 1/2″, and 5 1/4″.  Score across the shorter side (Portrait mode) at 3/4″, 2 1/4″, 3″, and 4 1/2″.  See the picture above for reference.

Step Two

Use scissors to remove the top left and top right sections. Cut the tabs on the score lines.  The box goes together easier if the top and bottom tabs are trimmed on an angle as shown. See the picture below:

20161206_022649254_iOS

Step 3

Next is folding on all the lines.  I like to fold them in to start forming the box like so:

20161206_022729787_iOS

Next is the assembly of the box.  Below is a picture of assembling one side, but I left the other side undone so you can see the difference.  Note the placement of the adhesive:

 Missing box

And that is it!  The fun part is decorating this little box of goodness which holds the 3 Nuggets.  You will use the 3 pieces of your chosen DSP (Designers Series Paper) to wrap your candies before placing in the box.  Here is a look at the finished product:

20161206_030835313_iOS

20161206_030802306_iOS

I added DSP around the outside of my box because this snow flake paper is so easy to use.  This is a light weight DSP that is located in our annual catalog and included below in your supply list.  I cut the paper at 3" x 6" and wrapped it around.  What do you think?  Easy?  Need to make a couple dozen of your own?  Yes, so easy for those little gifts to drop by for a neighbor, co-worker or unsuspecting friend!  And who doesn't love a little chocolate.  :)

I hope you enjoyed this project and please, let me know if you have any questions.  Have fun my friends!
