Now wasn't that easy!
It's been awhile but Saleabration is happening now!

It only took 14 years to get him to try....

Hello my friends!  Can you believe it is Labor Day weekend 2018?!?  This summer really flew by and can already feel the temperatures changing just a bit, in the arrival of Fall.  Last weekend we got some much needed rain, which meant it was the perfect day to play in my craft room.

When the new annual catalog came out, there was a new package of paper that caught my eye, but honestly, it sat on my table for quite some time, till last weekend.  This paper is printed vellum.  Vellum is a great way to add some subtleness to a project, without going overboard.  Well Stampin Up! outdid themselves and them printing on it, allowed us to bring out our missing 'inner child'.  :)  You can color on this with either Stampin Blends, or our tried and true markers!  Here are some images of this 6 x 6 paper:

What you can do is color on the side where you don't see the glossy black outline.  When you do, you see something magical!

Remember, I am not a photographer but this paper is beyond gorgeous!!  The top was done with regular markers, the bottome was done with Stampin Blends.  I prefer using the Blends because it dries really fast.  If you use markers, you need patience.

So now back to last weekend.  While it rained, I colored - it was so fun!  I just cut out smaller images from the 6 x 6 paper and let the colors talk.  In comes my handsome husband Michael, wanting to know why it was so quiet in my room.  I explained what I was doing, and asked if he colored as a kid. He replied, "well of course I did, didn't everyone?"  Well said husband.  :)  So I asked if he wanted to give it a try.  I put out all the Blends and said it was his paper and he could do what he liked:

To my surprise, he didn't grab Husker Red aka Real Red, but did get straight to coloring.  (he did find the Red later)  LOL  As you color, you can hold it up to the light to check your work as you go.  Think of this as stain glass on paper!  Well I made him finish it all the way to the end because it was perfect!

And here are those final projects!

When we finished - I was smitten with this paper!!  This card was extremely easy to put together because it needed just a simple white background.  What do you think?  When was the last time you stopped, and brought out that inner child who just wants color???  :)

Until next time!
