Let's talk some fish!

Hello my stampin friends!  I am so excited to share some recent cards I have created using the Best Catch bundle featured in the current Occasions catalog.  This bundle is great so let's take a look:

Best catch

#150605 Best Catch Bundle $43 USD

This bundle is great for those men in your life, or those woman fisher folks too!  I love how there are pieces that coordinate with the stamp set, as well as those you can be creative with just on their own.  I am loving the cattails!!   I did a Facebook Live this week featuring this bundle and also talked about the different coloring techniques that you can use for coloring the fish.  You know me, I LOVE to color!  LOL  Let me show you what we created:

All of the fish were either colored with watercolor pencils and a Blender pen, or an Aqua Painter with ink.  Remember to use Stazon Ink for watercoloring, but Memento ink with your alcohol Blends.  You will thank me!  These techniques can look so different and fun to use when creating views from nature.  Which is your favorite?

I also shared a 3D project which was a fishing basket with a lure made out of ribbon.  I LOVED how the lure turned out.  Here is view of the basket:

Every now and then, I like to try a challenge and this basket was that...a challenge!  LOL  I also experimented with creating a string of fish which could be used as little garland or finishing up on another card idea.  So much possibilities with this bundle.

If you have any questions, please ask or simply use the "shop now" featured on this site to get your bundle.  Would love to see what you create...Until next time!

So what is the team called the Krumm Cakes about?

Hello my friends! I hope you are having a great day wherever you are - I think Spring might actually make it to Minnesota after all!

I can't believe we are in the final month of Saleabration 2019!  This time of year is my favorite because of a few things:

  1. I get to write FREE on a lot of your orders..I love it you guys!!  For every $50 spent, you get to pick a free item from the Saleabration items which you can see here.  There is no limit so that means a lot of you capitalize on this which is great, who doesn't love FREE?!?!
  2. My hostesses are EXTREMELY happy because orders and parties over $250 will yield you an extra $25 in hostess credits!  For example, if you collect $250 in orders, that will give you a $50 shopping spree from anything you want from the current product offering!  Pretty great for getting products you LOVE!
  3.  Those that join my team - and let me tell you, it is a pretty amazing team of stampers!  You will be paying $99 for $175 worth of product, anything your heart desires!  If you have a wish list that just keeps growing, this is your way to knock it out!  We also have a new offering this year where you can choose to get an exclusive SU tote for just an extra $30!  Look at this beauty: Bag for free

Our team has a private Facebook page where we share, chat and learn from eachother 24/7.  We have regular team                   meetings where you can come to my house and stamp or join online from the comfort of your home.  We also have                   some honorary members we have picked up along the way, so our group is truly amazing to learn from!  Because                     Stampin Up was so kind in naming a color so close to my name, well, we just had to call ourselves the Krumm Cakes               since that color is also one of my favorites!  Getting to be part of a team, having access to a great discount on your                       favorite crafting supplies and seeing new product before anyone else, are just a few benefits of joining the SU family.                 There is absolutely no commitment to stay after you receive your starter kit, but just know you are going to love it and             want to stay. I have never looked back at my decission to join SU over 13 years ago.

So as we approach the end of a wonderful time of year for crafters, know that I truly appreciate each and everyone of my customers and team members.  Because of you, I can share what I love each and every day of the year!

Have a great day my friends!

It's been awhile but Saleabration is happening now!

Hello my stampin friends!  I hope you have found me on Facebook to keep current but I am going to try my best to keep things current here too, so you are well informed.

We are in the final month of Saleabration 2019 and boy has it been popular!!  We have already had a few things completely out of stock, but there is still more to be had!  One of my personal favorites is the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  (Say that two times really fast!!)  This folder is so beautiful and easy to use.  Below are some projects I created during my Facebook Live that I would like show you:

Fig

Colorful flowers

All 4 cards were using this folder in different ways! The first two were simply running the cardstock thru the Big Shot with the folder, then using a sponge dauber to apply color lightly to the raised portion of the paper.  (I used Fresh Fig ink and cardstock for both)

The first of the second photo was using the same technique, just switching up the colors. Where are all my Gray Granite fans?!?!?  This one is so striking in person and great for any occasion.  The last in this series was using Whisper White cardstock with the folder, then coloring some of the images with and aqua painter, and the other images using our Blends markers.  This one was not my favorite to being with, but when it was done and paired with Pineapple Punch for the base, it grew on me!

As you can see, embossing folders can give you so much to work with, they are a must for your crafting adventures.  Keep in mind, Dynamics folders are going to give you more depth because they are thicker, but our standard folders get the job done too.

If you would like to see me create the card step by step, you can do so here.

Thanks for stopping by today and let me know if you have any  questions.

Have a wonderful day!!
