Cards - Halloween & Fall

Now wasn't that easy!

Hello my friends!

Can you believe school is starting again? Crazy!  I love seeing all the photos of 'the first day of school' from friends and family.  I also love that Fall is right around the corner which is my MOST favorite time of the year!!!

Today I wanted to show you a quick and easy card, that can also be a gift card holder!  This card is so easy to put together and the different occasion ideas are endless.  Here is a preview:

Memories finished

As you can see, I conveniently inserted a gift card in mine.  How cute is that!?!?!  I used the Big Plans Memories and More Card Pack that come with an assortment of 5o cards (3x4 inches and 4x6 inches) as well as stickers and specialty cards that are drop-dead gorgeous!  Here are measurements of what is needed:

I used Blushing Bride in the example above but be brave, try a new color combo.  Here are a few more ideas:

Memories and more giftcard

The above sample was using the Best Route Memories and More Card pack which I thought would be great for those young adults headed off to college this month.  The verses in the set are so inspiring and would be great to brighten someone's day.  And if that was not enough, how about the upcoming Christmas holidays?!?!

Memories and more holiday

These my friends will be available on September 5th!  The stickers in this kit, (look at the little elf, candy cane, circle sticker, tree and showflakes) are stinkin cute and full of glitter!  These are quick and sure to be a hit with anyone receiving them!  I actually did a Facebook Live video when I created my first sample so if you would like to see, here is that video:

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share what I love!  If you have any questions, please let me know and as always..keep stampin!  :)

Oh how I love pretty paper!

Hello my stampin friends!  I have been busy creating in my room and I have a treat for you!  Do you ever have those friends or family members that are extremely hard to buy gifts for?  Well I do and this year, I have been thinking of how to get around that feeling!  I was playing with the paper pockets I had shown you about a month ago and thought, let's start with a 12 in x 12 in piece of paper.  Check.  Now I had this pocket, what can I put in it?  I came up with a care package of greeting cards!

Blue pocket

Would you like to see the cards?  Here they are:

Inside blue pocket

The top project, to the left, is a cute gift card holder and then 3 every day cards.  (A Birthday, Thank You and Thinking of you card)  How cute is that?  I also love how custom you can make these and who wouldn't love a little gift like this?  I can see giving this to cheer up a neighbor, thank a co-worker or maybe to a friend that you just want to treat!  How about a Christmas gift?  Take a look at this:

Green envy

This one is my favorite!  Would you like to see what is inside?  Let's take a look:

All trees

I have fallen in love with this technique!  Simple masking with daubers and ink and of course, Sheltering Tree.  This card layout can be used for some many occasions by just changing the colors!  What do you think?  Sounds like fun right?

I will be hosting a class to make your own gifts just like above.  This will be a limited seating engagement where you will be able to make 2 pockets and 6 cards to fill them with.  There are a few ways you can get a seat:

Option 1 - Purchase your favorite 3 packages of the Designer Series Paper that is currently on sale and get to pick one FREE! (you will need to purchase these by October 31 to get your FREE package of paper - see my website for detailed info on this special)

Option 2 - Pay a flat fee of $20.

Option 3 - Join my team of merry Krumm Cakes and your class is FREE!

I will be hosting this event on the following dates:

Saturday, November 26th (thanksgiving weekend)

This will be limited to 8 stampers per event so please RSVP ASAP to get your seat!  Sound like fun?  Let me know if you would like to attend!

Happy stampin!!

OH BOY!!! The new Holiday catty is FINALLY available!!

So have you seen it?!?! Oh my is this catty trouble!  LOL  I think at this point in the game, it would be easier to tell you what I "haven't" purchased from it yet.  We still have plenty of time folks!

So starting the month of September, I have a special deal for you all.  Each month, I am going to feature a special bundle of products that I think are MUST HAVES. When you purchase the products in the bundle, you will get three FREE project ideas, sent right to your home utilizing the projects in the bundle!  These may be cards or gift items but these products will not be at any of my classes so if you like EXCLUSIVE, this is definitely for you!  So let me tell you about the September product bundle:

So this month, my special bundle is the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and one of the coordinating stamp sets. (AREN'T THEY CUTE?!?!) I have been playing with both stamp sets, face it, it will be impossible to pick just one so why not get both?  Here is my first creation:
Isn't he cute?!?!  This is also using one of the new thinlits called Home Sweet Home and the woodgrain background that we all love. I am not largely into Halloween but for some reason this year....I don't think this will be the last Halloween idea you see from me. What do you think?  How about we see some Christmas fun?
All this cuteness, it's hard to pick a favorite!  What I love about both sets have some many holidays at your fingertips.  I will always be the one to look at a stamp set and think, how many ideas/seasons/holidays will I be able to get from this one set?  Stampin Up! listened and gave use multiple stamp sets that work with some of our new punches and thinlits which is awesome!!  I have one more idea to show you...this one is my favorite!
Shrinky dinks
They are minis!!!  LOL  Do you remember Shrinky Dinks?  Quite know you do.  This is paper/plastic you can stamp on, then color and put it in the oven for just a few minutes and what happens is so adorable!  Here is a close up:
Close up shrinky
Your eyes are not playing tricks on you - they are smaller than a quarter!  I am working on adding them to some cute and easy cards but just had to share this with you.  If you still are not sure what Shrinky Dinks are, here is a link to the paper on Amazon but I was able to get mine at Michael's with my 50% off coupon:
What do you think?  Is this a bundle you have to have?  If so, here are the actions you should take:
1. Pick which stamp set you would like.  (or both of them works too!)
2. Sign into my shopping website HERE.
3. Enter the item number for your stamp set(s) and cookie cutter builder punch.
4. Use hostess code UN3HGTC9 where indicated.

You will receive your order directly from Stampin Up! AND a goodie package from me too with your project ideas!  How exciting is that?!?!
I hope you fall in love with this cookie cutters too and if you have any questions, please ask!
Until next time,

Please don't let this one pass you by

So the wind is different, Fall is just around the corner which is my FAVORITE season!  Pumpkin Spice, crisp fall leaves and the smell of harvest in the air.  How about you?  What's your favorite season?  The only problem is Fall in Minnesota never lasts long enough so we need to take in every single minute that it is here!  :)

I have been busy playing with the beautiful stamp set call Thoughtful Branches, you know me and trees....I just love them!

All 3 together

I was out cruising on Pinterest and found some amazing work by Marelle Taylor.  I fell in love with her green card for the simplicity but felt it needed just a little more so I added the embossing on my version:

This card could be changed for Birthdays, Thanks You or a Just Because card.  Sometime I find my most favorite creations are the ones with simple and clean designs that took little effort, would you agree?  Here is a closer look at the Fall version from the stamp set:

Golden autumn

The leaves of the tree are created by adding ink to my stamp, then spritz the stamp with water and  stamping on watercolor paper.  This technique will give a watercolor painting look without having to be an artist.  Don't you love what the gold foil Acetate gives the card?!??  Another piece of texture and a burlap knot to finish.  Here is one last design:

Blessed tree

This one was using the front AND the back view of the Foil Designer Acetate.  Leave it to Stampin Up! to give us gold AND silver in the same package of DSP!  I also used a new greeting stamp set from the NEW Holiday Catalog called Paisleys & Posies.  Have you seen the new Holiday Catty?!?!  It is gorgeous and have preordered 3 different times from it already!!!  LOL  If you need a copy of your own, please let me know and I will get you a copy.

I hope this inspires you to purchase the Thoughtful Branches stamp set or the Beautiful Branches Thinlits to make your own masterpieces featuring these beautiful trees!  Go ahead and get the bundle and have twice the fun!  (You know you deserve it!)  Remember, this bundle is only available till August 31st so time is ticking.  Don't let it pass you by!

Have a great day stampers!

Fall is the best season ever!!!

But why is it so short?  :)  Hello friends!  I wanted to share one of my favorite stamp sets in the Handmade for the Holidays idea book.  Happy Scenes is just as the title states...."happy!"  Can you say versatile?!?!?  I love when I can use a stamp set in multiple ways!  Here is one that will be featured at class in November:

Again, simplicity can be so beautiful!  I love pairing this with the Woodland Texture folder, yes, you can feel those trees that you see in the background!  Here is another version of the card stepped up just a bit:

I added more color and a little Halloween flare!  What do you think?  You can also pair this stamp set with the window framelits that are featured in the Happy Scenes bundle offering.  I plan on showing a winter version of this next month:

So if you are not loving Happy Scenes than I did not do my job.  LOL  Don't forget about my upcoming classes on November 14th and 15th - hope to see you there!

A hunter....I am not but an animal lover indeed!

Happy Sunday friends!  I was gone to a retreat this weekend where there is no phone service and internet is not reliable so we were busy crafting, talking and a little bit of laughing too.  :)

I have never been a hunter but one of my good friends Susie Martin showed me some cute birthday invites for her youngest son's birthday.

Myles birthday invite

ISN'T this adorable?!??  First, I love her color choices and it is hard to tell by the photo but that is velum paper with antlers printed on them!  I asked how she came up with the camo which she explained how to do, so I took to my room and here is what I came up with:

This was created with two stamp sets.  The background was created with  Gorgeous Grunge and the goose and greeting came from the set Wetlands.  The technique is so easy and allows you to create any camo background you would like!  I simply used the large splatted dots stamp with Basic Gray and Smoky Slate and then use a piece of sponge and smudged on some Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow till I thought it looked good.  I know Gorgeous Grunge was not my favorite when it first came out and now.....well, I don't think I could live without it.  What do you think?

Thank you so much to Susie for such a great idea and can't wait for all of you to come up with new twists on this great technique.  Happy stampin!!
